Leticia completed her third and final year at GFD in 2003.

(Est;1982) in Johannesburg, South Africa. The Academy offers a two-year diploma course and an optional third year with International Accreditation by City and Guilds International.

Leticia was born 1979 in South Africa.

Whilst in school her interests were always artistically inclined.

Apart from school she also studied piano, ballet, art and modeling, but always got bored with rigid lessons.
She has also written some poetry and has always been one to think creatively. She loves her friends dearly and is usually very compassionate and out going, she loves to sing and dance, laugh, talk and make a noise. She also is not shy to change her look and her hairstyle and the colour whenever the mood takes her - I believe the next thing she wants to do is make her hair pink !!! (smiles)

In high school she blossomed and gained self confidence and got involved with Drum Majorettes - eventually becoming Drummy Leader. In Grade Eleven she took part in the Debutantes Ball and came third for raising the third highest amount of funds for her school. In Her final year of high school she was a prefect and member of the Students Representative Council.

She passed Matric (Grade 12) with Art, English, Afrikaans, Biology, Hotel Keeping and Restaurant Management, and Business. She had to work more than 100 hours part time as a waitress as part of her course.

The year after her Matric she studied at LeChic College in Germiston and did a year Computer, Secretarial Course. Then the next year (1999) she went to GFD to study fashion design. It is a very comprehensive course including design, pattern construction, cutting and sewing.

Leticia has taken part in a number of fashion shows *dressing the models* behind the scenes to gain experience.

GFD has an annual fashion show in which all of the students present their work, it is part of their course to create a range each year for the show.

GFD originally known as Gordon Flack-Davison Design Emporium, was pioneered by Gordon Flack-Davison who sadly passed away in 2000 while Leticia was visiting family and friends in Colorado, USA.

She came back from USA after six months and then worked part time waitressing, bar-keeping and also for a bank in Johannesburg as well as doing data capturing for a medical aid company.

In 2002 she decided to return to GFD to complete her Fashion Design course.

What are her future plans? Dreams of going to the great fashion cities of the world, Paris, New York, London and Milan, and what fashion designer would not want to do that?

Got her drivers licence in 2004 - Yay!

Currently working for a retail fashion company in South Africa
